
Suzanne Pleshette, born January 31, 1937, passed away January 19, 2008. She was an American film voice actress, voice actor and television host. Pleshette began her career in theatre, and then she appeared in films in the late 1950s. She was later featured in notable films such as Rome Adventure (1962), Alfred Hitchcock's The Birds (1963), or Spirited Away (192001). From 1972 to 1978, Pleshette was a frequent guest on various TV shows. She also appeared in Emily Hartley, which earned her numerous Emmy Award nominations. Pleshette was born on January 31, 1937, in the New York City neighborhood of Brooklyn Heights, to Geraldine (nee Kaplan)[1] and Eugene Pleshette. Her parents were Jewish parents of immigrants from Russia or Austria-Hungary. She was the daughter of Geraldine Rivers, a performer and dancer. Her father was the stage director at the Paramount Theater, Manhattan, and the Paramount Theater, Brooklyn.
